None of the contestants knew. I knew because I had just been there &#8211; Lexington. The photo is me posing with some career and technical education teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I had three speaking engagements in Kentucky. The first was at the University of Kentucky. I spoke to an agricultural education class about the New Farmers of America and the FFA Sweethearts of yesteryears. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then I spoke at the Region II Conference of the Association for Career and Technical Education. The first presentation was titled &#8220;Live Like You Were Dying&#8221; and the second presentation was &#8220;I Hated Small Group Work Until&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I drove and decided to return back to North Carolina via the backroads of Southeast Kentucky.
